Play Readings

Peridot regularly holds readings of upcoming plays shortly before auditions.  We also hold a number of social play readings during the year, looking at works of both local playwrights and established names.  All are welcome  - supper provided!

Please note that directors of upcoming productions do not generally attend readings. Any enquiries about the actual auditions or production should be addressed to the director of each play (see our Audition Notices).

Upcoming Play Readings

To complement our Playwrights@Peridot workshops, this year's play readings will focus on the work of local writers. You are cordially invited to the first of these events on Wednesday April 8th at 7.30pm in the Peridot foyer. Everyone is most welcome, whether it's to read a role or to enjoy a free evening out with supper! Please contact Alison if you're coming on This email address is being protected from spambots. The evening will include readings of: "Family Matters" by Jonne Finnemore; 'Love is a Dish' by Adele Shelley; 'Fur Better or Worse' by Colin Donald
